I am a United States citizen and a registered voter in Walton County, Florida. I can speak, read, and write the English language as required by Florida law.
I understand that election workers must meet all qualifications required by Florida law and serve at the discretion of the Walton County Supervisor of Elections. I further understand that submitting this application does not guarantee appointment as an election worker and that my name may be placed on a standby list or retained for future election staffing needs.
If appointed as an election worker, I agree to attend and complete all mandatory training required by Florida law and the Walton County Supervisor of Elections. I understand that I am responsible for reviewing and understanding all training, procedures, reference materials, and instructions provided to me.
I understand that election workers must remain strictly nonpartisan while performing their duties, and I agree to conduct myself in a professional and nonpartisan manner at all times while working an election. I further agree to avoid discussions involving politics, candidates, campaigns, religion, or other sensitive or divisive topics while serving as an election worker.
If appointed, I will faithfully perform the duties of an election official in accordance with the law and established procedures and will endeavor to prevent fraud, deceit, abuse, misconduct, or security violations in the conduct of any election.
I understand that election security and the protection of confidential information are critical to maintaining election integrity and public trust. I agree not to disclose confidential, sensitive, or nonpublic information obtained through my service as an election worker and to maintain the security of all election-related materials, credentials, equipment, and information entrusted to me.
I agree not to engage with the media regarding election operations, procedures, incidents, or my work as an election worker unless expressly authorized by the Walton County Supervisor of Elections. I further agree not to post, share, publish, or distribute photographs, videos, recordings, or social media content related to election work or nonpublic election activities unless expressly authorized.
I agree to promptly notify the Elections Office of any changes to my name, address, contact information, direct deposit information, or Florida Retirement System (FRS) status and to complete any required employment-related forms.
I expressly consent to receive communications by email, phone call, or text message regarding this application, training, scheduling, assignments, and other election-related matters. I acknowledge that receiving such communications is a necessary condition for serving as an election worker.
I certify that all information and responses provided in this application are true, complete, and correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand that any false statement, misrepresentation, omission, or failure to comply with applicable requirements may result in disqualification from consideration or removal from service as an election worker.
